We are a collaborative of social workers and social work educators who are inspired by the coffee house blaggards, the bohemians who became the first social workers. We decided to write a collection of blogs, modern day version of the coffee house pamphlets, hoping to spark debate about the role of social work in 21st Century society. Much misunderstood, social work walks the tightrope of rights & responsibilities, autonomy & protection, care & control.

Hi Guys, Blast from the past here! I have just listened to your 1st SW, Cats & Rocket Science Podcast and thoroughly enjoyed it 😁
It was so lovely to hear your voices and hear your introduction to SW. I laughed and smiled the whole way through and can totally relate to most of what you guys said.
I can’t wait for the next one.
